Groovy Code M sneakers

Just looking at the picture will either freak you out or put you in the groove. Some readers will just think OMG and then some. Some other readers are probably already wearing them so for the rest of the review, let’s stick with the facts.

Code M SneakersAt 200$ a pair, Dada Footwear‘s music-playing Code M sneakers hide small electronics in the heel and tongue of the shoe so you can enjoy your favorite music hits through a wireless Bluetooth headset that transmits from the sneaker.

A convenient USB port on the sneaker lets you download music and recharge the battery. It would’ve been cool to have the batteries recharged through natural kinetic energy, especially when dancing but that’s probably too futuristic, or expensive.

The system stores about 100 songs and the batteries can last about 6 hours.

There’s no mention what happens if the sneakers are used in action sports or if they’re immersed in water. Let’s hope they already anticipated those rather frequent situations in the life of a “regular” sneaker.

Nevertheless, the shoes are sure to create quite a stir in shoe stores with questions from customers like: “Could you lower the store’s music volume so I can listen to the quality of these shoes’ sound?“.

That’s sure to put some fun back into shopping for footwear!
